The Home and Garden Expo will be ending on March 20th, so today I spent several hours viewing the sixteen houses in the decorating contest. They were varied, from mansions to humble houseboats and the decorators each had their own unique ideas on how to decorate the inside and outside of the houses they were given.
I enjoyed seeing how each decorator put together a look for the house they were given to decorate. Apparently they were assigned homes at random, so I applaud the fact that all the decorating was appropriate to the house style.
I got some ideas for my own decorating, and even spent some time finding out where I could buy some of the items I saw.
I wish I could show you all the houses or even about all of one house, but here are two small pools to show to see how varied the decorating was.
This was in the Baranda by ʀᴜʙᴇɴ ᴅᴀʀɪᴏ, which was decorated by Devin Vaughn and Akira Voorhees. the theme was "A Cyborg's home in the year 2050" but there was no list of decor items.
This is the bath in the spacious bathroom.
Violetility Intelligent Life Bath by Gwen Ghostly |
This was on the top deck of the Houseboat Calypso by Christhiana of Needful Prims, which was decorated by Malayaa Morningstar.
No theme, but the info card had a complete listing of decor items.

I notice one of the bloggers I follow (Gem's Finds) decorated the house with a sea serpent.
