What is 'rent' in Second Life? Because I couldn't have said it better I refer you to the forum discussion on "What is rent?" and in particular, Lindal Kidd's comments on 3-16-22.
Lindal Kidd used to teach an excellent class on "How to Buy Land" at Caledon Oxbridge University in Second Life, and she also had a web page with a lot of good information. Most of what I learned about land I learned from her, so it is good to see her still active on the forums.
