The Bellissarian Bureau of Bureaucracy had been setting up "Bellissarian Embassies" on the Mainland so I thought I would put up a "Mainland Embassy" in Bellisseria. It wasn't fancy enough to be called an embassy, though, so I just called it "Gateway to the Mainland".
Bellisseria is a large land area in Second Life where Premium members can claim a 1024square meter parcel with a house included. It's very nice, but perfection can get boring.
I had posters in the main building with information on:
- Why residents might want to move to the Mainland.
- What 'Mainland' is.
- What 'tier' is.
- How to find a parcel to buy.
- How to evaluate a parcel before you buy it.
- A short tour of places on the Mainland where you can buy land,
- How to read and get maps.
- How to figure out where you are on the map, and how to make landmarks.
- What a skybox is.
- Buy or rent?
- How to find a house for your parcel.
- Learning to Build.
In a skybox I put some freebies.
I had a lot of fun putting together the posters (and learning Gimp).
I am in the process of relocating "Gateway to the Mainland".
