Themed Communities - Mieville

Mieville is a Victorian/Steampunk Community modeled after the style of late 19th Century San Francisco and New Orleans. Most of the regions are named after popular Victorian novelists like Kipling, Twain, Shelley, Verne, Dickens, Chesterton, or Doyle. You also have Mieville Pond, Mieville Lakes, and Mieville Mountain Rose.

There are many interesting shops, many with merchandise to match the Victorian/Steampunk theme.  There are beautiful gardens. The landscape changes with the seasons.

Mieville sponsors Historical Hunts like The Steam Hunt, The Silk Road Hunt, or the Renaissance Hunt.

There are also many local events through the year, like Mardi Gras, and non-residents are invited to visit the public areas at any time.

Some areas:

MIEVILLE POND

This large area showcases the work of Arcadia Asylum. There is a Library and Freebie Center, and many examples of her work. Be sure not to miss the examples that are underwater.

Everything here is free, although a tip to help support the place would not be amiss. Want a sea monster? You have several choices.

MIEVILLE DICKENS

The Asian Gardens in Mieville Dickens, by Mike Olbracht, are particularly beautiful.

MIEVILLE DOYLE

The heart of Mieville, the Town Hall is in the Center of the Village. Mieville Doyle is also home to the Sir James Barrie Home.

MIEVILLE TWAIN

Mieville Twain is where you will find Myrddin's Emporium, the Mieville SL Exploration Society, and the Mieville Brewery where the Professor teaches weekly classes. An airship designer and builder also has an office there, with an airship parked on top of the building.

MIEVILLE MOUNTAIN ROSE

MIEVILLE DOCKS

This is one of the newest regions to join Mieville. There are shops, a Carnival Center with games for large and small, a charming zoo, and bathing machines for the adventurous.
