Second Life: Travelers Station by Tripp (tripp.foxtail)

http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Carbonara/80/19/1002 Travelers Station is a place that encourages travel and exploration throughout Second Life. Tripp (tripp.foxtail)'s motto is "Discover the wonder of travel. Stay curious."

The three-and-a-half level build contains maps, information about different destinations, and teleports that can take you to a different level - or to a whole different Second Life Continent!

On the top floor, a bridge connects a library and a teleport.

On the bridge the Travelers Station Librarian examines an orrery.

On the main floor of The Travelers Station a London bobby walks his beat. a newsstand NPC offers a link to a library, info kiosks have posters with graphics of places to visit, and there are free motorcycles and ice cream.

A kiosk with posters you can touch to get a landmark to the site pictured.

Between the main floor and the bottom floor there is a vestibule with a ticket office and an NPC offering more information.

On the bottom floor a 1920 New York subway car is waiting, and there are doors leading you to other Second Life destinations.

I especially like the different creative ways taking you from one floor to another, and the imaginative variety of ways that information is presented.

Do I want to walk through the door into Corsica?

Tripp has other interesting sites - look for posters that will take you to "Sorry We're Open" or "Tripp's Harbor".
