"Almost Free" Mesh Body and Head

Genus Project 'Strong' Head and LucyBody Atenea v30

If you want more than an 'off the rack' avatar in Second Life you will usually have to deal with the problem of matching separately-purchased heads to separately-purchased bodies. Then you have to figure out how to make the neck join and the skin match, among other issues.

I had tried different combinations of heads and bodies but wasn't ever happy. Today I decided to try an "Almost free" pairing.

Lucy Body Store had the LucyBody Atenea on their Midnight Board*, and Genus Project was giving the Genus 'Sharp' head out as a gift if you joined their group.  You had to buy a BOM (Baked on Mesh) kit for the body, though, but the cost was trivial compared to what you might pay for a head or a body elsewhere.

Now I'm only about four years behind Second Life fashion.

*a "Midnight Board" is a store gadget. Usually if a certain number of avatars touch the board by midnight, they will get the item pictured, but if not, the board starts over. Some stores, like LucyBody,  just keep collecting names until they reach the goal and everybody gets the prize.

If 15 more people touch the board by

Midnight, they all get the textures.
